Another real-life data rescue story: My primary desktop at home got infected with the new “ransomware” virus, Cryptolocker, last month. NASTY stuff. This nightmare started late afternoon on Saturday, April 6. Tune-up technicians were unable to recover encrypted files, which included every file on my PC: Excel, Word, pictures, etc. I called Code42 on Saturday afternoon, not really expecting a reply on Saturday… I got a reply! Code42 took control of my desktop and tested a restore of a file from a date that had good data, which turned out to be April 2. All good. Thanks again to all! Cheers!
